Job Description

Clinton & Clinton is seeking a paralegal to join our premier insurance defense law firm located in Long Beach, California. We are looking for a paralegal with an exceptional commitment to service who can assist with case management, preparation of discovery, summaries of medical records and discovery responses, and help with trial preparation. The ideal candidate works well with attorneys on a diverse caseload, and is comfortable drafting discovery, correspondence, and handling court filings. Our team includes effective and seasoned legal professionals dedicated to providing consistent mentorship to aspiring paralegals. This position offers the opportunity for independence and growth, while still providing mentoring, oversight, and a collegial, supportive environment. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and should possess at least (3) years of paralegal experience .

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Conducting legal research; cite checking, and proof reading of briefs and other legal documents using various resources;
• Draft and prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests;
• Assist with management of hard and electronic case files;
• Assist with deposition and trial preparation, including preparing deposition summaries, and organizing exhibits;
• Manage filing motions, briefs and other legal documents with stare and federal courts; and
• Assist in E-Discovery case logistics needs and the implementation of best practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or ABA approved paralegal certificate;
• 3+ years of Paralegal experience;
• Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills;
• Strong research skills using various legal resources;
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines; and
• Experience with document management software, Google Docs and Microsoft Office.

Salary : From $25.00 - $40.00 per hour - based on experience
